General Guidelines for Admission

  • All admissions to Four Year Bachelor with Honours / B.Tech as Discipline-I in Arts/Humanities/Commerce subjects shall be done strictly according to merit on the basis of percentage of marks secured by the students in at least one Language including Sanskrit and three best elective subjects, one of which may be an Elective Language.  The list of subjects of Academic Stream and Vocational Stream of the C.B.S.E. is given for reference.
  • Academic and Vocational subjects must have relationship with the main Courses opted by the candidates.

  • The students who have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi under Vocational / Technical stream will be eligible for admission to the courses.
  • Admission shall be granted on the basis of marks.  However, the College may give weightage to marks obtained in one or more relevant individual subjects in addition to the aggregate marks of the qualifying examination.
  • Each department will determine the cut-off percentage in the aggregate and individual subjects.  The same will be displayed on the dates notified in the admission schedule.  This will form the basis of the eligibility for admission to a particular course of study.
  • After the last notification of admission list by the College is displayed and the payment of fees made by the students, if there are still vacant seats, the College shall  fill up these seats as per University guidelines, and the same shall be displayed on the College notice board / website.
  • All students must register for any two Extra Curricular activities offered by the college.
  • It is compulsory for the first year students to enroll for NSO/NSS.
  • No transfer of courses shall be permitted. In exceptional cases if transfer of courses is allowed written consent of the concerned Teachers in charge shall be required, subject to availability of seat/meeting the necessary admission criteria for the said course, to which the transfer is sought.

 Procedure of Admission to Undergraduate Courses

      The first cut-off list  for admission will be displayed on the College Notice Board on Thursday, 27th June,   2013 at 9:00 a.m. Any subsequent lists, if necessary, will be notified, according to the University schedule (refer to Important dates).

        List of documents Required at the time of admission

           The application shall be required to produce following documents in original with two sets of self – attested photocopies at the time of admission:

1.           Class X Board examination certificate

2.             Class X mark-sheet

3.              Class XII mark sheet

4.            Class Xii Provisional certificate /original certificate

5.             Character certificate (Recent)

6.             SC/SC certificate ( in the name of the candidate)issued by the competent authority

7.            Obc (non-Creamy layer)Certificate(in the name of the candidate)issued by competent authority

8.              Transfer certificate from school /college as well as Migration Certificate from board/University are required from those students who have passed senior secondary exam from outside Delhi

9.              At lest two passport size self-attested photographs.

      The university will accept self-attested copies of documents/papers provide by the students. It is made clear that any if any  false attention /falsified recordsare detected,the student will be debarred from attending any course in the University/or its college for next five years and in addition,a criminal case under revelant sections of IPC (viz,470,471,474,etc.) will be instituted against him/her.


 Admission to Post Graduate Courses

Conditions for admission to M.A. in Hindi, Sanskrit and History are/as may be laid down by the University of Delhi from time to time. The number of seats are 25 in each subject.  (subject to change). The following are the general guidelines for admission to M.A.:

  • Where admission is made through an Entrance Test, there should be Entrance Test conducted by the Department and one another test for admission to the School Of Open Learning, wherever applicable.
  • On the basis of Entrance Test, separate merit list should be prepared for the General and Reserved Categories. Candidate should be required to clearly indicate in the Application Form whether they wish to apply for the General Category or for the Reserved Categories.  The department will display the merit list for the general as well as reserved categories and fill the sanctioned seats strictly according to the merit.
  • Out of the merit list, the Department will allocate colleges to the candidates on merit cum preference basis.
  • While filling up the forms, candidates would be required to indicate their preference for colleges for the desired post-graduates course.  Colleges shall be required to grant admission to the allocated candidates.  In case, a candidate does not take admission in the college allotted to him/her, the resultant vacant seat will be filled from the waiting list.

If a candidate taking admission in any PG or LLB course had already been a student of an institution under University of Delhi, but had migrated thereafter and is now reverting to this University, She shall be required to indicate her previous enrolment number, and the same shall stand revived.  There shall be no separate procedure to revive his old enrolment number.
