Scholarship & Fee Concession

The eligible SC/ST, OBC, PwD students etc. should submit their scholarship form for the academic year by February for processing scholarship to SC/ST, OBC, PwD etc. each year.

Delhi Government awards scholarship to the students belonging to the reserved category and economically weaker families and low-income groups. Detailed information is available with the Accounts Section of the College.

The University of Delhi holds a competitive examination in the month of October each year for the award of All India Entrance Scholarship (50 in numbers); each tenable for three years for pursuing a course of study for an Honours degree in this University. The competition is open to the students who have passed the Senior Certificate Examination (under 10+2 pattern of education from the CBSE, New Delhi or an examination equivalent thereto with 55% marks in aggregate, in the year the All India Entrance Scholarship Examination is held.

The last date of receipt of application will be 1st September. Other details may be obtained from the College or from the Examination Branch VII(i) Main University Campus, Room No.61 on any working day between 9.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. after 1st August each year. The examination form will be accepted from eligible candidates along with an examination fee of Rs.50/-.

College Scholarships

The criteria, availability & amount of scholarship may be changed based on recommendation of Instituting Authority

Prof. S.P. Verma Scholarship (instituted in 2002)

An amount of Rs. 3000/- and Rs.  2000/- is given to two student of  History (Hons.) 3rdYear, who have secured highest marks and second highest marks in paper-V (d) of History (H) 2nd Year University examination respectively.

Geetika Nagpal Khurana Scholarship (Instituted in 2006)

This scholarship is given to  Honours students of 3rd Year, one from each discipline (except B.Com. Hons.), on the basis of highest marks in 2nd Year University exams. Also given to a student from 2nd Year English (H) on the basis of highest marks in 1st Year University Examination.The scholarship is given annually. The amount is approximately Rs. 800/- per student.

Suniti Goyal Memorial Prize (Instituted in 2006)

A silver medal is given to the student who tops in the Hindi (H) 3rd Year University Examination.

Neelima Chandra Memorial Award (Instituted in 2007)

This award is given annually, to an outstanding Sports student on the basis of her contribution to the College, in the field of sports. The amount given is Rs.1,100/-, on the recommendation of the Sports Committee.

Swadesh Gandhi Memorial Award (Instituted in 2007)

This award is given annually, to an outstanding Sports student on the basis of her contribution to the College, in the field of sports. The amount given is Rs.1,100/-, on the recommendation of the Sports Committee.

Major K.P. Singh Memorial Award (Instituted in 2007)

An annual award of Rs.1,100/- is given to a student of  3rd Year Political Science (H) with highest marks (not less than 60%) in the paper of Western Political Thought.

Naman & Mehaan Ahuluwalia Scholarship (Instituted in 2008)

The scholarship is given annually. The amount was approximately Rs.2,000/- per student.  In 2012,  it was decided that the scholarship will be given to students of App.Psy. 3rd Year on the basis of University Position in 2nd year examination

Shri J.N. Seth Memorial Award (Instituted in 2008)

An annual award of Rs.5,000/- is given to a needy and meritorious student of 2nd Year, B.A.(P) on the basis of her 1st Year University Examination marks. She should have scored minimum of 55% marks and cleared all her papers. The eligibility for the scholarship is decided on the basis of an interview.

V.K. Dublish Memorial Award (Instituted in 2008)

An annual award of Rs.1,100/- is given to the student of English (Hons.) 3rd Year whose combined total of 4 semester is the highest.

Neela Memorial Scholarship (Instituted in 2009)

This scholarship is given annually to two  best students of B.A.(P) with Music as a subject ; one from 2nd Year and one from 3rd year on the recommendation of  teacher-in-charge of Music Department.The scholarship is given annually. The amount is approximately Rs.2,000/-.

Naren Scholarship (Instituted in 2009)

Instituted in the name of Swami Vivekananda (Narendra Nath Dutta), this award of  Rs.5,000/- is given equally to two students of English (H) 3rd Year on the basis of combined total of 4 semester is the highest and second highest.

Sultan Chand Dropadi Devi Memorial Scholarship (Instituted in 2010)

An annual award of Rs. 4,000/- is given to a student of B.Com.(Hons.) 3rd Year, who secured highest marks (70% and above) in B.Com.(H) 2nd Year University Examination. If in any year two or more candidates secure equal number of marks, the value of the Scholarship shall be divided equally amongst them.

Tejaswini Scholarship (Instituted in 2010)

An amount of  Rs. 6,500/- is given equally to two students of B.Com.(Prog.) 2nd Year & 3rd Year, who secured highest marks (70% and above) in B.Com.(Prog.) 1st Year & 2nd Year University Examination respectively. If in any year two or more candidates secure equal number of marks, the value of the Scholarship shall be divided equally amongst them.

Sh. Sultan Chand Memorial Scholarship Endowment (Instituted in 2011)

An annual award of Rs. 6000/- is given to a student of B.Com.(Hons.) 2nd Year, who secured highest marks (70% and above) in B.Com.(H) 1st Year (Semester-2) University Examination  (aggregate of Internal and External Examination.). If in any year two or more candidates secure equal number of marks, the value of the Scholarship shall be divided equally amongst them.

Late Sh. N.N.Roy Choudhury Scholarship (Instituted in 2012)

An amount of Rs. 1000/- is given to the Best Student of the College for the current academic year.

Rohan Memorial Scholarship (Instituted in 2012)

An amount ofRs.5100/- is given to Physically Challenged student of 3rd Year on the basis of  combined total of  1st and 2nd Year is the highest.

Dr. Bhola Nath Tiwari Protsahan Puruskar (Instituted in 2012)

An amount of Rs. 1,100/- is given to student of Hindi (Hons.) 3rd Year on the basis of combined total of Hindi (H) 1st and 2nd Year is the highest.

Post Matric Scholarship (for minority in NCT only)

(Instituted by Govt. of NCT of Delhi, Directorate of Higher Education) An amount of  Rs. 3,000/-  is given to the SC/ST/OBC/Minority students whose family income is less than Rs. 2 Lacs per annum.  The detail information about this scholarship will be announced by the Govt. well in time through Newspaper etc. (approx. in the month of August)
